Role & Responsibilities As part of the Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), drive the growth of Cisco Security solutions and associated services within the Japan Public Sector segment Partner closely with account sales teams to identify, develop, and expand security opportunities across existing and new public sector customers and projects Identify major public sector initiatives and lead activities to maximize the value of Cisco Security products and services Position complex Cisco Security solutions to senior IT leaders, security decision makers, and CxO-level executives, supporting deal progression and deal closure Demonstrate strong understanding of the security market, threat landscape, and competitive environment, and execute differentiated strategies in collaboration with sales and partners Build and manage opportunities from business concept through unique business value and close Develop and execute business plans aligned with GSSO strategy to increase awareness and demand for Cisco Security technologies in the Public Sector Collaborate with Cisco account teams, partners, services, and marketing organizations to build strong, win-win relationships Identify and pursue security opportunities together with Cisco authorized distributors, partners, and ISPs, leveraging their capabilities effectively Forecast and report activities accurately and in a timely manner as required Minimum Qualifications Experience in B2B sales or solution selling of security or IT solutions within Public Sector and/or Enterprise environments Customer-facing experience engaging with senior IT, security stakeholders, and CxO-level executives Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders Ability to build and manage opportunities from concept through close Strong forecasting and reporting capabilities Desired Skills Understanding of Cisco’s vision, strategy, and architectural approach to Security, or the ability to rapidly learn and adapt Knowledge of security technologies and threat trends, or a strong willingness to develop such expertise Understanding of Public Sector–specific sales models and long-cycle deal environments Experience working in a specialist role supporting account teams Experience leveraging partner ecosystems in a security-focused sales motion Who You’ll Work With Cisco Security – Cisco delivers intelligent cybersecurity for the real world, providing one of the industry’s most comprehensive advanced threat protection portfolios that is integrated, pervasive, continuous, and open.
