Your Impact As a frontend Software Engineer, you will experience Splunking and what defines our culture while honing the skills which separate our development teams from others. You will get to work with smart and hardworking individuals who are doing state of the art development work in areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, infrastructure and event correlations across silos to build best-in-class business analytics software. Design, develop, code and test software systems, or applications within the scope of a contained, end-to-end project. Contribute through participation in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing support of systems. Work under the close supervision of a mentor with weekly check-ins. Minimum Qualifications Actively pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field, and a strong record of academic achievement At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (July-September) Experience in QA, testing, and/or debugging Local to Krakow Splunk office and available to come into office minimum 3 days per week Must be legally allowed to work in Poland Preferred Qualifications Strong interest in frontend/UI/HTML/CSS/JS development Familiarity with frontend JavaScript technologies including React/Redux, (nice to have: Typescript, jQuery, Backbone) Coursework and project experience related to Machine Learning and AI concepts Exposure to styling web applications using CSS Exposure to working with REST APIs Familiarity with Git or other version control systems Why Cisco?
