We’re looking for someone who is passionate about front-end, has a growth mindset and isn’t afraid to give their opinion on how we can improve. Even better, because we covet the kind of courageous thinking that’s required in order for big bets and smart risks to pay off, you’ll be invited to create and drive new initiatives, seeing them from inception through to technical design, implementation, and release.</p> <p class="p1"> </p> <p class="p1"><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Build robust frameworks and features that empower hundreds of developers and support millions of users</li> <li class="li1">Enable developers to work more effectively by improving foundational web architecture, builds, CI/CD and testing capabilities</li> <li class="li1">Drive changes that improve overall developer experience for all web engineers across Pinterest</li> <li class="li1">Identify site-wide challenges; propose, test, and ship solutions</li> <li class="li1">Champion and drive large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that improve the Web platform</li> <li class="li1">Increase web stability, scalability, performance and accessibility by implementing the best web development standards</li> <li class="li1">Mentor team members and participate actively in design and code reviews, team processes and architectural decisions</li> </ul> <p class="p1"> </p> <p class="p1"><strong>What we’re looking for:</strong></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Deep understanding of JavaScript, CSS, DOM, HTTP protocol and how the web works</li> <li class="li1">Expertise with technologies such as React, Redux (or other state management solutions)</li> <li class="li1">Expertise in building product experiences on Desktop Web and Mobile Web</li> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Experience working with API in order to build frontend features</li> <li class="li1">Understanding of Web best practices</li> </ul> <li class="li1">Strong technical skills.
