We showcase the expertise of Times journalists on-camera, share urgent news updates, produce on-the-ground reporting, pioneering Visual Investigations, and video podcasts.</p> <p>We are looking for an experienced Post-Production Supervisor to lead our Podcast Video post-production operations. You will oversee all aspects of the digital video post-production process for our expanding team, including managing video editors and overseeing the edit calendar to support the weekly release of multiple podcast video episodes, which include both vertical social clips and original vertical videos.</p> <p>You are a collaborative, solutions-oriented post-production expert with strong people skills. You are equally comfortable optimizing technology and media systems as you are calmly juggling multiple deadlines for a high-volume podcast video operation.</p> <p>This is an in-office position based in New York and includes regular attendance in the office four days each week. There may be some flexibility to work remotely per your departmental guidance.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage post-production team for video podcasts: manage career development, feedback and performance reviews.</p> </li> <li> <p>Set appropriate workflow and systems for managing post-production</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage footage coming in from the field.</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage archival footage storage, including oversight, maintenance, and development of the media asset management system.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prioritize and oversee operational projects, including managing deadlines, creating execution roadmaps and coordinating with other departments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage graphics templates and software systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner on post-production budgetary needs, including technology, tools and hiring.</p> </li> <li> <p>Build in training and one-sheeters for the team around post-production workflows and tools.</p> </li> <li> <p>Stay up to date with the latest technology for post-production; bring forward solutions to the team.</p> </li> <li> <p>Establish, communicate, and enforce workflow, editing style, and other protocols.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support post-production, including color and sound needs, and technical maintenance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with our operations team to maintain technology.</p> </li> <li> <p>Demonstrate support and understanding of our <a href="https://www.nytco.com/company/mission-and-values/" target="_blank">value of journalistic independence</a> and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.</p> </li> <li> <p>This role reports to the Executive Producer of Podcast Video.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of experien ...
