Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, software validation testing and much more. This position is looking for a highly motivated flight test engineer with emphasis in software/hardware capability development and evaluation for the Altius UAS platform. Altius is a Group 2/3 autonomous vehicle specializing in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. You will be responsible for the evaluation of the software and hardware capabilities for operational suitability as well as Altius’s integration into the full suite of Anduril systems to complete complex operations. <br><br><strong>ABOUT THE JOB</strong><br><br>The Test and Evaluation team is seeking a Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer. In this role you will conduct system level development testing and evaluate hardware and software readiness, from early test evaluations to customer deployment.<br><br><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and implement test plans that challenge and verify the capabilities of the Altius UAS. To include: <ul> <li>Acceptance Testing - Testing for acceptability by end-users, often in a real-world environment, to validate that it meets their needs and requirements.</li> <li>System Testing - Testing the complete integrated system to verify that it meets all specified requirements.</li> <li>Integration Testing - Testing where modules are combined and tested as a group to ensure they work together properly.</li> <li>Unit Testing - Testing on individual modules or units of code to verify that each one functions correctly in isolation.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Collaborate closely with software engineers and cross functional teams to ensure thorough validation of new software, end-to-end functionality, and bug fixes.</li> <li>Conduct Software Testing, including validation and regression tests to ensure new features align with system capabilities and mission objectives.</li> <li>Analyze data from tests to validate system performance and identify areas for improvement, iterating rapidly to refine hardware implementation and software behaviors.</li> <li>Create processes for testing system functionality and suitability of software and hardware integration efforts.</li> <li>Drive the advancement of Anduril's testing methodologies, with a focus on Group 2 UAS, to ensure robust and reliable performance in complex operational scenarios.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in robotics or autonomous systems testing.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in software/hardware testing, with a strong emphasis on autonomous or remotely piloted systems.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability in developing and executing test plans for complex systems within aggressive timelines.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical challenges and solutions to a di ...
