CNC Machinist

<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.</p> <p>We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to work in our manufacturing machine shop who will work closely with manufacturing teams to support tooling and production needs for our robot lines.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Assess tools and material needed for projects</li> <li>Provide feedback and solutions to improve designs and create efficiency</li> <li>Program, set up and operate machines and tools</li> <li>Set up and operate a CNC Lathe with live tooling</li> <li>Set up and operate CNC 3 axis mills</li> <li>Set up and operate a manual mill and lathe</li> <li>Provide training to individuals who require use of the equipment in the shop. Including Engineers/Technicians/etc</li> <li>Maintain inventory of supplies and raw materials within the shop</li> <li>Maintain an open and safe environment where teams can collaborate</li> <li>Document and track workflow</li> <li>Perform preventative maintenance and repair on machines and equipment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in a related industry</li> <li>Proficient in CNC lathes and mills</li> <li>Must be able to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment</li> <li>Ability to tackle problems in which you may not have expert knowledge</li> <li>Ability to understand engineering documentation</li> <li>Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills</li> <li>Safety conscious, dependable, and a positive attitude</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Fabrication and/or welding experience</li> <li>JIRA</li> </ul> <p>The US base pay range for this full-time position is between $45/hr-$80/hr</p> <p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.</p>
