<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.</p> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Systems Integration Engineer – Power Systems</strong> to lead the integration, bring-up, validation, and optimization of offboard charging and power systems for our humanoid robot. This role spans subsystem development through full-robot integration and works closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and technician teams to deliver robust, compliant, and high-performance power solutions.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Plan and execute integration and validation of offboard charging and power systems from subsystem to full-robot level.</li> <li>Coordinate across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and technician teams to integrate charging infrastructure and power interfaces into humanoid robots.</li> <li>Develop and execute benchtop validation plans for AC/DC charging systems, power converters, and supporting hardware.</li> <li>Lead system-level bring-up and validation, including electrical, thermal, and functional testing.</li> <li>Address thermal management challenges; evaluate and validate cooling strategies for offboard charging systems.</li> <li>Perform diagnostics and root-cause analysis on on-robot failures using hardware inspection, instrumentation, and robot data.</li> <li>Drive improvements to integration, testing, and validation workflows based on field and lab results.</li> <li>Document integration processes, test plans, procedures, and validation results for traceability and scaling.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong background in Electrical Engineering with hands-on systems integration experience.</li> <li>Proven experience integrating custom power or mechatronic systems into real products.</li> <li>Deep understanding of power electronics and power systems (AC/DC, DC-DC, resonant converters).</li> <li>Experience with compliance and EMC testing for power systems.</li> <li>Hands-on, highly technical approach to bring-up, testing, and debugging.</li> <li>Excellent cross-functional communication, planning, and documentation skills.</li> </ul> <p>Bonus Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with firmware, automation, or controls related to power systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with robotics, humanoid, or mobile robotic platforms.</li> <li>Experience with thermal management techniques and cooling system design.</li> <li>Leadership experience driving cross-functional integration or validation efforts.</li> </ul> <p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.</p> <p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended. </p>
