<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.</p> <p>We are looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to support the Manufacturing Engineering Team with launching, maintaining, and improving assembly lines.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide technician-level support for all manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to adhesive dispense systems, 3-axis robot gantries, laser cleaners, laser welders, wirebonders, vision systems, torque tools, custom fixtures, and tooling</li> <li>Serve as the first point of contact to troubleshoot issues that arise during production</li> <li>Develop and own a full maintenance program, including setting preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring a proper supply of spare parts, and writing standard operating procedures for maintenance</li> <li>Write standard operating procedures/work instructions for operation of equipment</li> <li>Operate equipment during initial process validation builds</li> <li>Train operators and associates on operation of equipment in steady state production</li> <li>Support engineering teams with line setup and process validation (e.g., gauge RR testing, process window qualification, NPI validation builds)</li> <li>Support engineering teams on failure root cause investigations</li> <li>Support cycle time studies</li> <li>Take ownership of implementing equipment/process improvements to improve safety, quality, and throughput </li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with high tech manufacturing tools and automation</li> <li>Occasional travel to equipment vendor locations</li> <li>Familiarity with basic tools and facilities equipment such as drills, soldering irons, wire crimping, and compressed air fittings</li> <li>Ability to take full ownership of projects with minimal direction from managers</li> <li>Respectful work attitude with a championship mindset</li> <li>Excellent time management skills and a commitment to punctuality</li> <li>Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with complex equipment</li> <li>Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to documentation and organization</li> <li>Ability to lift and transport materials safely (up to 50lbs as required)</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working with battery cells</li> <li>Experience working with adhesive dispense systems</li> <li>Experience working with laser weld equipment</li> <li>Background in machining and fabrication</li> <li>Forklift or other powered equipment certification (preferred but not required)</li> </ul> <p>The US hourly range for this full-time position is between $40/hr to $65/hr.</p> <p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended. </p>
