<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.</p> <p>As we scale, we’re looking for a Senior People Operations Specialist who can own and evolve all aspects of people operations - from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, compliance, performance management, and culture. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and loves creating structure out of ambiguity.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>People Operations Compliance: </strong> <ul> <li>Lead HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and employee records management.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and internal policies.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Payroll, Benefits Compensation: </strong> <ul> <li>Manage payroll, bonuses, and annual compensation cycles accurately and confidentially.</li> <li>Oversee benefits administration (healthcare, 401k, leave policies, PTO) and serve as the point of contact for employees and vendors.</li> <li>Continuously assess competitiveness of compensation and benefits packages.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Performance Talent Management: </strong> <ul> <li>Manage performance review processes, goal-setting, and professional development programs.</li> <li>Support managers in coaching, feedback, and growth planning.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Culture Employee Engagement:</strong> <ul> <li>Develop initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and retention.</li> <li>Act as a trusted HR business partner to employees and leadership.</li> <li>Plan company events, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Process Improvement Systems:</strong> <ul> <li>Implement and manage HR systems (HRIS, ATS, payroll tools, etc.) to improve efficiency.</li> <li>Track and analyze people metrics (turnover, engagement, hiring speed, performance outcomes).</li> <li>Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and create scalable People processes.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Recruiting and Talent Acquisition:</strong> <ul> <li>Work alongside our recruiting team to partner with hiring managers to define roles, write job descriptions, and build scalable hiring processes.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR - ideally within a startup or high-growth company.</li> <li>Broad HR generalist experience across compliance, payroll, benefits, performance management, immigration, recruiting, and employee engagement. </li> <li>Experience managing visa processes or partnering with immigration counsel preferred.</li> <li>Excellent relationship-builder with strong communication and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.</li> <li>Bonus: holds general HR compliance and employment law certifications </li> </ul> <p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $160,000 - $200,000 annually.</p> <p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended. </p>
