<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human level intelligence. Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.</p> <p>We are looking for a Senior Hardware Analysis Engineer specializing in aerodynamics and acoustics to design, simulate, and optimize airflow and acoustic performance across our humanoid’s cooling systems.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead CFD simulations for all active cooling systems.</li> <li>Design and optimize fans, heat sinks and flow paths for maximum efficiency and acoustic quality.</li> <li>Perform aeroacoustic modeling and NVH analysis to minimize noise and vibration. </li> <li>Build and validate CFD models for steady-state and transient flow simulations, and correlate these models through wind tunnel, bench, and acoustic chamber testing to improve prediction accuracy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Expert knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and acoustic</li> <li>Extensive experience in fan design and optimization, including impeller geometry, ducting, and flow-path refinement.</li> <li>Expert in CFD modeling tools (Star-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, or OpenFOAM).</li> <li>Solid understanding of numerical modeling concepts</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $170,000 - $200,000 annually.</p> <p>The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
