Attendance is expected and fully supported.</p></div><p>The Consumer Foundations team is dedicated to ensuring product quality across the retail app by providing critical insight into reliability and performance data, and leveraging AI to identify and improve existing services. Our mission is to make Coinbase the most dependable crypto platform in the world, and to cultivate and grow engineering practices to ensure long term success.</p> <p>As a Software Engineer on the Consumer Foundations team, you will partner with engineers across the retail team to reach these goals. This is a unique opportunity to define and drive a company-wide quality strategy while working critical product teams used by millions of users around the world.</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to identify and drive improvements to key quality metrics.</li> <li>Partner with engineering teams to tackle key reliability/performance initiatives.</li> <li>Advocate for quality culture improvements by improving testing, observability and tech debt management.</li> <li>Partner with PM, Design, and other functions to align product strategy with long-term technical bets and roadmap.</li> <li>Elevate engineering quality and promote best practices through design review, code review guidance, and process improvements.</li> <li>Leading the adoption of AI-driven development practices</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>What we look for in you: </strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of software development experience with experience writing performant, large scale distributed systems</li> <li>Strong software engineering background (experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar).</li> <li>Experience with observability, debugging, and profiling to improve software reliability and performance.</li> <li>Passion for improving product experience and engineering hygiene.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate with teams across the company and influence engineering culture.</li> <li>Solving complex platform-level challenges</li> <li>Driving engineering standards across the organization.</li> <li>Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Nice to haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc)</li> <li>Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activ ...
