Uber provides an equal opportunity to encourage all employees to share their thoughts. **About the Role** The APAC Strategy & Planning (S&P) team develops, implements and oversees the strategy of our Uber Eats businesses across the APAC region. As the Head of S&P for Japan, you will play a critical role in driving the strategy of one of our largest global markets, in close partnership with Japan’s most senior leaders in our Delivery business. **Your Impact in Role:** 1. **Define long term strategy:** Build the business’s short and long-term growth strategy, working closely with Japan’s delivery leadership team to translate our global and Japan ambition into clear, actionable objectives across the business. 2. **Lead a team:** Lead a fantastic team of strategists in driving Japan’s business performance by shaping the scope of key projects and providing thoughtful coaching 3. **Manage critical programs:** Bring a strong sense of self-ownership to drive prioritisation and lead cross-functional groups to decisions on strategically significant questions. You’ll do this by building strong relationships with colleagues at the Japan, APAC and global level, across a variety of functions. 4. **Lead business governance:** Establish and manage governance and accountability models to ensure transparency on business performance and execution of key initiatives ensuring teams are on track to achieve goals, making you the go-to person for key initiatives. 5. **Incubate critical projects:** Design and incubate critical initiatives necessary to unlock growth and sustain business performance, to deliver on local, regional and global priorities.
