Senior Software Engineer, Deployment Engine Department: Engineering Team: Backend Location: Aarhus, Denmark Type: Full-Time **About the Role** Our team is designing and building the Unified Deployment Engine, a system responsible for orchestrating the safe rollout of changes throughout all 5.000+ stateless services, 40+ Stateful Technologies (MySQL, Schemaless, Cassandra, etc), OSS K8s operators, thousands of configurations, all changes that support and power the entire Uber product. Our platform is designed to enforce rollout policies, gather signals and enable lockdowns, ensuring that changes are rolled out incrementally, safely and reverted if signals suggest a potential issue. The scale we operate is significant: 1.  5000 microservices deployed 750,000 times weekly 2.  25 storage technologies across 3.8 million containers, running on over 100,000 hosts Our work directly impacts operational excellence, developer velocity, and overall system reliability at a global scale.
