Design Director, Brand Design Department: Marketing Team: Marketing Location: San Francisco, United States Type: Full-Time **About the Role** We are seeking an Design Director for Brand Design who excels at working within and expanding extensible design systems to create cohesive and impactful visual solutions across multiple parts of the Uber brand, across different mediums and platforms. This role requires a collaborative individual who can partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and other key stakeholders, bringing creative problem-solving skills and a sharp design sensibility to every project. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a clear and compelling point of view, while remaining flexible and open to collaboration. If you’re passionate about delivering designs and scalable brand solutions that are both visually stunning and strategically effective, we’d love to hear from you. This role will entail communicating effectively with the senior leadership across Brand, Marketing, Campaign, and Product, as well as collaborating with designers, copywriters, developers, project and marketing managers. This person should be able to think beyond a single channel execution, know how to scale designs effectively across responsive states and channel variance between print, out-of-home, web, email, experiential, and social, and expand the potential of design systems and template frameworks. Be prepared to lead and develop guidelines, briefings, layouts and ideas from the ground up, pitch ideas to team members, create compelling, relevant, and meaningful work, as well as be a steward for the brand with partner agencies and teams throughout Uber. As an ADD at Uber, you’ll work on multiple projects, prioritizing as needed and efficiently managing time for you and your team while receiving strategic and tactical direction from relevant stakeholders.
