Senior Engineer SENIOR ENGINEER – AI PLATFORM LEAD ABOUT HYPERCORE Hypercore is building the operating system for the $3T+ global Private Credit market—one of the fastest-growing and most underserved asset classes in finance. Backed by Insight Partners and Y Combinator, Hypercore is trusted by leading private credit funds, BDCs, and alternative asset managers to run their most mission-critical operations. THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the development of Hypercore’s AI capabilities and shape the future of intelligent financial infrastructure. In this hands-on technical leadership position, you will architect, build, and scale end-to-end AI-powered features across our enterprise-grade SaaS platform. You will collaborate directly with product, design, and engineering leadership to translate complex business problems into robust, intelligent solutions that power critical decisions for our customers. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Lead the full lifecycle of designing and implementing Hypercore’s AI features, from concept and architecture to deployment and monitoring - Collaborate closely with product and design teams to scope user needs and AI-driven opportunities - Build and scale MCP servers and MCP clients for enterprise-grade AI services - Build and maintain core backend services using Node.js, GraphQL, and MySQL WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience - Deep experience with Node.js, GraphQL, React, and MySQL in production environments - Experience with AWS deployment, monitoring, and automation - Experience integrating third-party APIs and working with structured and unstructured data - Familiarity with large language model APIs is a strong plus - Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills - Organized, outcomes-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup setting BONUS POINTS - Hands-on experience working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) - Experience with workflow automation, analytics, or financial technology - Prior startup or high-growth software company experience - Exposure to data engineering, ETL processes, or business intelligence tools WHY JOIN HYPERCORE - Own and define the AI capabilities of a mission-critical platform - Shape the future of reporting and automation for top global private credit firms - Work with talented, ambitious teammates and top-tier investors - Accelerate your growth as a technology leader in a fast-growing fintech company If you’re driven to build impactful AI technology in a category-defining SaaS company, we’d love to hear from you!
