Software Engineer (Rust)

<p>The Data Collection team is responsible for essential security components, including the Collector, Cyshark, and Collector Gateway. Our mission is to develop and maintain high-performance, deep packet inspection software. This critical software operates across customer sites and cloud endpoints globally, ensuring secure data acquisition from all servers. We are a Rust-focused team committed to designing scalable, production-ready systems.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Develop high-performance deep packet inspection software for deployment at customer sites and cloud data endpoints.</li> <li>Design and lead the development of new feature sets and architectural changes for core data collection components.</li> <li>Take systems from development through to production, focusing on performance, and ensuring ongoing maintenance.</li> <li>Apply expertise in Rust development to implement solutions with strict attention to system performance.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>3+ years of professional experience in Linux Systems Programming (C, C++, or Rust).</li> <li>Proven track record of maintaining high-throughput, customer-facing production systems where latency and performance are critical.</li> <li>Proven experience defining test strategies, involvement in CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining a broad view of quality processes beyond basic testing.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Professional experience with Rust (Async, Tokio) or a strong desire to transition from a C++ networking background.</li> <li>Knowledge of additional programming languages like <strong>Python</strong> or <strong>Go</strong>.</li> <li>Familiarity with common network protocols (e.g., <strong>IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP, ARP</strong>).</li> <li>Experience with Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) or developing Network Security Gateways.</li> <li>Experience using <strong>AI</strong> techniques to enhance or accelerate development processes.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-HYBRID #LI-ZR1</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Axonius: </strong></p> <p>Axonius transforms cyber asset intelligence into actionability.
