<p>Job Title: <strong>Sr. Commercial Counsel, APJ</strong></p> <p>Location: <strong>Singapore</strong></p> <p>The Rubrik Commercial Legal Team is responsible for managing global commercial contracts and related revenue-based transaction matters. This position is for an experienced, business-oriented, technology contract attorney or contract manager with a passion for negotiating customer-<br>facing complex transactions, specifically with customers in highly regulated industries.</p> <p><br><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Use your experience with software-as-a-service offerings and related matters to structure, negotiate and close transactions (e.g. SaaS and software licensing agreements, support and professional agreements, partner and alliance agreements)</li> <li>Use sound judgment in assessing risks of non standard legal positions</li> <li>Provide guidance to senior stakeholders on the associated risks and liabilities within the proposed commercial transaction</li> <li>Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess risks of non standard proposals and implement practical risk mitigation strategies</li> <li>Find creative solutions to drive deal negotiations to successful completion while creating and maintaining a positive experience for both internal and external customers</li> <li>Stay current and advise on applicable laws and regulations including privacy and security, compliance, and industry-specific requirements</li> <li>Use effective time management, prioritization and communication skills to meet internal and external demands in a high volume, revenue-driven sales environment</li> <li>Develop a trusted and collaborative partnership with leadership and cross functional teams, including Sales, Sales Ops, Support, Product Ops, Finance and Accounting </li> <li>Work with product counsel and related teams to assess new products and programs</li> <li>Exercise project management, prioritization and organizational skills to effectively manage work streams involving multiple stakeholders</li> <li>Develop and implement form agreements, playbooks, and best practices within the team</li> <li>Deliver trainings internally and externally to support the commercial legal function at Rubrik</li> <li>Potential to coordinate global workstreams and overflow support for the Commercial Legal Team; regular travel to other Rubrik offices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience You’ll Need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Juris Doctor (J.D.), or equivalent law degree.</li> <li>5-8 years of commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience at a top law firm or in-house, with a minimum 3-5 years of experience negotiating cloud-based service offerings with enterprise businesses </li> <li>Demonstrated experience negotiating complex software-as-a-service and software licensing agreements with minimal supervision</li> <li>Proficiency in data security and data privacy regulations</li> <li>Demonstrated experience working with a deadline and quota-driven sales team</li> <li>Independent, motivated and enthusiastic contributor with excellent business judgment</li> <li>Strong work ethic and professionalism required </li> <li>Experience supporting the APAC region/market and the channel business model preferred</li> </ul> <p>#LI-FT1</p><div class="content-conclusion"><h2>Join Us in Securing the World's Data</h2> <p>Rubrik (RBRK), the Security and AI Operations Company, leads at the intersection of data protection, cyber resilience, and enterprise AI acceleration.
