The Opportunity
As
the
District
Medical
Director
for
Maine,
you
will
serve
as
a
key
clinical
leader
responsible
for
driving
clinical
excellence,
provider
engagement,
and
district
performance
across
our
urgent
care
locations. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and p artnering
closely
with
the
District
Director
of
Operations ( DO),
you
will
help
align
clinical
strategy
with
operational
execution,
ensuring
our
clinics
consistently
deliver
high- quality,
efficient,
and
value- based
care.
In
this
role,
you
will
support
and
mentor
providers,
strengthen
clinical
standards,
and
use
performance
data
to
guide
improvements
that
enhance
both
patient
outcomes
and
team
success.

Your Impact
District Leadership and Performance:
Collaborate with the DO to achieve clinical and operational goals.
Analyze key performance metrics and develop action plans to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
Report regularly on district performance to leadership.
Team Development:
Support and mentor providers, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
Actively participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews for providers.
Create a positive, inclusive environment to retain top talent.
Regularly visit clinics to support teams, resolve challenges, and identify training needs.
Clinical Excellence:
Conduct provider chart audits and guide improvement plans.
Ensure compliance with clinical policies, licensing, and state regulations.
Lead training sessions to enhance provider skills and knowledge.
Review and approve medical treatments, lab requests, and off-formulary prescriptions.
Communication and Engagement:
Maintain open communication with providers and ensure updates on policies and practices.
Serve as a spokesperson for ConvenientMD within the medical community.
Participate in shared weekend on-call schedules and regular clinic visits
Who You Are
Experienced urgent care or emergency room clinician:
Licensed MD, DO, PA, or NP with at least 5 years of urgent care or emergency room experience, confident treating patients of all ages and managing a wide range of acute conditions in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative clinical leader:
Partners effectively with operational leaders and fellow providers to drive strong clinical outcomes, align teams around shared goals, and support district performance.
Provider mentor and coach:
Passionate about developing others, providing thoughtful feedback, conducting chart reviews, and supporting providers in strengthening both clinical care and documentation.
Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal):
Foreshadows and elevates concerns as they arise, unafraid of professional directness both with colleagues and patients.
Data-driven decision maker:
