An Overview of This Role GitLab is seeking a VP of Enterprise Transformation Finance Strategy to architect and lead the strategic evolution of our Finance function while serving as a key driver of enterprise-wide business transformation as we scale as a public company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be Finance's primary partner on GitLab's most strategically significant cross-functional initiatives, including Lead-to-Cash optimization, our transition to a consumption-based business model, and global expansion strategy, working in close partnership with the CRO, CPO, CIO, and executive leadership team to ensure these programs are well-structured, well-governed, and deliver measurable business outcomes. At its core, this role is Finance-led but enterprise-reaching. You will build and lead the Finance Transformation Office while extending Finance's partnership to serve as a catalyst for enterprise-wide transformation, establishing the governance frameworks, program architecture, and change management capabilities required to execute complex, multi-year initiatives that partner and co-sponsor with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, IT, and GTM. You are equally comfortable influencing a Board-level strategy conversation and rolling up your sleeves to drive execution in a fully distributed, async-first environment. This role is critical to ensuring GitLab operates with the speed, efficiency, and sophistication required of a high-performing public technology company navigating a transformational moment in its growth. What You'll Do Enterprise Transformation Leadership: Serve as the CFO's key partner on GitLab's most strategically significant cross-functional initiatives. Co-lead program architecture, executive alignment, and delivery accountability as the CFO’s day-to-day representative across: Lead-to-Cash Optimization:- Partner with the CRO and CIO organizations to redesign and streamline the end-to-end revenue cycle, from pipeline generation through billing, collections, and revenue recognition. Identify friction points across quoting, contracting, and order management, and drive technology and process solutions that improve velocity, accuracy, and customer experience. Consumption-Based Model Transition: Own the Finance and operational workstreams supporting GitLab's shift from seat-based to consumption-based pricing.
