Position Overview
The Robotics Deployment Technician I (RDT I) plays a key role in installing, configuring, and deploying advanced robotic systems across client sites in the U.S. This position is ideal for technicians with foundational experience in mechanical and electrical systems who are ready to work independently in dynamic environments alongside a team of other technicians.
RDT I technicians ensure high-quality installations, perform troubleshooting, and contribute to the success of on-site deployment teams.
Key Responsibilities
Install, test, and deploy robotic and automation systems at client sites.
Perform mechanical and electrical integration of system components.
Configure hardware for optimal performance.
Conduct basic troubleshooting and field diagnostics.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical layouts.
Support client training on system operation and safety.
Document installation steps and configuration changes.
Assist in mentoring, training, and overseeing RDT Apprentices
Travel up to 80% of the time across the U.S. (potentially Canada).
Qualifications
HSD or GED
Technical training or coursework in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Technology a plus
1–3 years of direct field experience in robotics, automation, or industrial systems.
Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical integration.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with industrial safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.
Preferred:
Experience in Amazon fulfillment centers or similar industrial environments.
Amazon Red Badge certification (training provided)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
