Title and Summary Director, Product Development and Innovation Overview Product Express is a no-code process orchestration and data capture platform. Product Express makes it simple, fast and transparent for Customers to adopt Mastercard products and services, directly and/or with our ecosystem partners. Customers can easily select the best payment solutions for their needs, quickly identify the right partners to implement them – when partners are relevant, and progress from application to launch with full transparency at every step. Part of Mastercard Optimization team, Product Express is a unique solution in the market, initially focused on card issuance, now supporting 25+ new use cases. Product Express won Mastercard 2025 Design Award for Operational Excellence. The Director, Product Development and Innovation, will be a critical driver of new product development, including identification, execution, and in-market delivery of new Digital products and solutions. The responsibilities will include execution of near-term opportunities that drive significant in year revenue and strategic differentiation for Mastercard, working closely with product and services teams across Mastercard to help digitize their onboarding. The Product Development Director will also identify, scope, work with development teams, and oversee in-market testing of new concepts and features for the platform. A key area of focus will be development of “operators”, configurable modules to deliver task automation, either rule based or using AI agents. Role • Identify, develop, and commercialize easy, quick and transparent onboarding solutions for customers to access Mastercard and our ecosystem’s partners products and services, leveraging the Product Express platform, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders at a global and regional level • Identify, scope, prototype, develop, and test new concept and features to address any gap identified by specific solution partners ensuring they are defined as generic configurable features, re-usable by other solutions. • Assess market opportunities, build storytelling / narratives and drive business cases that articulate value for Mastercard (e.g., customer engagement metrics, revenues) • Drive thought leadership across key opportunity spaces • Influence and maintain key stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted partner for all Product Express innovation and product development needs • Effectively partner and align with key groups across Mastercard (e.g., Technology, Operations, Legal) to develop solutions, gain support, get buy-in for key decisions All About You • Product management experience, including rapid opportunity identification, concept development quick prototyping and in market testing of global products • Experience in various elements of the new product development process - product strategy, branding, sales enablement, market positioning, end to end consumer & customer experience, partnerships / alliances, operations, and performance • Deep Payments, financial services, technology, or corporate innovation experience (e.g., fintechs, issuers, acquirers, processors, digital wallets, super apps, tech platforms) • Sound business judgment with established strategic/conceptual thinking and strategic planning skills • Awareness of key trends and emerging technologies impacting Payments globally • Technical expertise, and experience working with R&D teams • Strong analytical and quantitative skil ...
