Founded in 2016, Verkada has expanded rapidly with 15 offices and 2,200+ full-time employees.</p></div><h3>About the Role</h3> <p>Verkada is looking for a Solution Engineer in Sydney with expert experience in Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux systems, Security Surveillance and Access Control. You'll partner directly with the Account Executives to expand the Verkada footprint upmarket into Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include directly interfacing with customers/partners and stakeholders throughout the sales process, analysing business and technical requirements, overcoming technical objections, assisting customers in designing deployments with Verkada products and providing technical assistance to territory account reps. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to learn quickly and work independently while making impactful results for the company.<br><br>We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our Sydney HQ 5 days a week. </p> <h3>What You'll Do</h3> <div> <ul> <li>Be the trusted technical advisor to key customer stakeholders: CTOs, CISOs, IT Executives, Security Engineers, Network Engineers, Head of Physical Security, etc</li> <li>Utilize your technical expertise to understand and analyse customer requirements to formulate and design system solutions.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Sales team to assess and qualify customer opportunities, and translate business needs into clear specifications to contribute to the design of effective technical solutions</li> <li>Lead product demonstrations and deliver engaging presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences </li> <li>Act as the Verkada technical Subject Matter Expert, collaborating closely with other departments such as Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement </li> <li>25% travel may be required</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Technology, Cybersecurity or related Engineering degree from an accredited university</li> <li>Demonstrate a solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs and L2 devices </li> <li>Exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities</li> <li>Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail</li> <li>Entrepreneurial and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn</li> <li>Experience working with IT infrastructure, Linux operating systems, APIs, Python, and other coding languages preferred</li> <li>Industry certifications are a plus: Network +, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Australia Employee Benefits</strong></h3> <p>Verkada is committed to fostering a workplace environment that prioritises the holistic health and wellbeing of our employees and their families by offering comprehensive wellness perks, benefits, and resources.
