Well… you might just be in the right place!</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re looking for an <strong><em>Account Executive, Payments</em></strong> to join our Payments Sales team in Australia. You will </span>responsible for driving the adoption of Lightspeed Payments within Lightspeed's existing merchant base in Australia. This is a dedicated cross-sell/upsell position focused on transitioning current Point of Sale (POS) customers to our proprietary, integrated payment processing solution.</p> <p>Lightspeed Payments has been continually invested into since launch in 2019, integrating a number of unique value drivers into the combined POS-payments solution.  Building off of success our new business teams have experienced in selling the combined POS-payments solution, we are scaling our ability to sell payments into our existing merchant base, many of which became clients before we scaled Lightspeed Payments.</p> <h3><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Pipeline Management</strong>: Generate and manage sales opportunities using leads sourced from Account Managers, BDRs, direct phone/email outreach, and follow-up on company-led marketing campaigns.</li> <li><strong>Sales Execution</strong>: Manage the complete sales cycle from initial qualification and value presentation through pricing negotiation and contract closure.</li> <li><strong>Customer Launch</strong>: Partner with Onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition and launch for merchants adopting Lightspeed Payments.</li> <li><strong>Internal Expertise</strong>: Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on payment processing for other units, providing guidance and training as required.</li> <li><strong>Product Feedback</strong>: Collect and relay merchant feedback regarding the payments product to the Product Management teams.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What you need to bring:</strong></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We're looking for an experienced candidate who has experience with the following:</span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Payments Experience:</strong> Direct experience (3+ years) in the payment processing industry.</li> <li><strong>Sales Closing Role:</strong> Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a closing role focused on technology or solution sales.</li> <li><strong>Opportunity Development:</strong> Proven ability to proactively generate and qualify new opportunities.</li> <li><strong>Target Achievement:</strong> Documented history of success in a revenue target or quota-based environment. </li> <li><strong>Communication:</strong> Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
