Role Overview We’re looking for a Staff Back-end Engineer to help design and build our next-generation Ad Infrastructure, including a Supply-Side Platform (SSP) for our streaming service. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the architecture and implementation of backend systems that power our advertising business. You’ll work on highly scalable, low-latency systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. What You Will Do Design and own the architecture and roadmap for our ad infrastructure, including SSP and Ad Targeting components. Lead the development of scalable, low-latency systems and OpenRTB integrations. Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team; establish best practices for code quality, system performance, and operational excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and compliance requirements. Basic Qualifications 8+ years of experience in backend and distributed systems engineering, with a proven track record of leading cross-team technical projects in the ad-tech domain. Experience building an SSP, Ad Exchange, or DSP from architecture to production scale. Strong leadership in project planning, execution, code/design reviews, and mentoring engineers. Deep expertise in low-latency, high-throughput systems, performance profiling, and cost/performance trade-offs. Production experience with streaming and data systems. Experience defining key metrics, building dashboards, and monitoring system performance and field issues. Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Java), with a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
