Head of Marketing AI is transforming how every company operates, but most enterprises are stuck. They want to move fast with AI agents, tools, and workflows, but they can't do it safely. We're fixing that. Our team built AI Actions for OpenAI, shipped Zapier Agents to millions of users, and launched the first remote MCP server with Anthropic. The co-creator of MCP is on our cap table. We helped establish the protocol, and now we're building the platform enterprises need to actually use it. Runlayer is one platform for MCPs, Skills, and Agents. Purpose-built security, fine-grained governance, and complete observability so organizations can push AI forward across the entire company without the risk. We raised $11M from Khosla Ventures and Felicis, and customers include Gusto, Instacart, and Opendoor. We're a team of 20, mostly engineers, shipping fast. If you want to work at the center of how AI gets things done, this is the moment. As our Head of Marketing, you’ll take ownership of building and scaling our GTM engine from the ground up. WHY YOU’LL THRIVE HERE - Impact: Define our brand and tell our story to the world, directly influencing the trajectory of Runlayer - Excellence: Work closely with founders and experienced leaders, learning from the intersection of AI, product, and go-to-market strategy - Ownership: Lead the marketing function end-to-end, from strategy through execution—owning our narrative in the AI landscape WHAT YOU’LL DO - Develop and execute the full marketing strategy—including positioning, messaging, and campaigns—that distinguishes Runlayer in a competitive market - Build a strong, credible brand across all channels: web, social, events, and media - Own key growth levers such as content, product marketing, community, demand generation, and PR - Collaborate with sales and product to align go-to-market motions and maximize market impact - Iterate on strategies based on data and feedback; rapidly test channels and tactics to find what works - Headline our presence at industry events, conferences, and community engagements WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - 7+ years of experience in marketing roles at fast-growing B2B SaaS, infra, or AI companies, with a proven track record - Experience building and executing multi-channel marketing programs from scratch, ideally in early-stage environments - Exceptional written, verbal, and visual storytelling skills; comfortable producing standout content and compelling pitches - Strong understanding of growth marketing, product launches, and community-led strategies - Data-driven mindset; able to measure what matters, iterate fast, and optimize for impact - Demonstrated leadership ability—can operate as a team of one or scale up as needed BONUS QUALIFICATIONS - Background in developer-focused or AI/ML products - Track record of successfully launching and growing new products or brand initiatives - Experience building communities or running high-impact events and campaigns WHAT WE OFFER We provide a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent who can work effectively with enterprise customers. - Competitive salary and equity — compensation that reflects your expertise and customer-facing responsibilities. - Paid time off — 4 weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave. - Professional development — budget for conferences, courses, and certifications in AI, enterprise software, and customer success. - Top-tier equipment — your choice of laptop and accessories to create your ideal work environment. - Health benefits — comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. - Customer interaction opportunities — work directly with innovative companies and see the immediate impact of your work.
