We’re looking for a Senior Engineer Manager, Proactive Security to join our London (Hybrid - 3 days from the office) team. In this role, you will lead a Europe based team of Security Engineers and Software Engineers that are building and maintaining security products and in-house platforms that enable proactive security outcomes with “security paved paths” to ensure a safe, reliable and resilient delivery network. Our London based Security Engineering team is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, Proactive Security to manage, mentor and coach our engineering teams across our Security Engineering and Software Engineering pillars of the London based Proactive Security team. This is a London based position reporting directly to the Global Director of Proactive Security based in the US. What You’ll Be Doing - Line manage Security and Software Engineers as part of our London based Proactive Security team. - Lead, scope and set project goals and continue to support and develop your team - Grow a diverse, highly-skilled group of Security and Software engineers, gaining fantastic exposure to scaling a tech team at a unique pace and global reach. - Create a learning environment for your team and act as a “player-coach” mentor for engineers and up and coming tech leads and managers. - Become instrumental in improving and implementing processes and values that scale effectively - Provide technical mentorship to engineers building and deploying large-scale services globally - Collaborate with cross functional teams including core product, infrastructure, design, operations, and more. What You’ll Need to Thrive - Proven leadership experience as a Senior Engineering Manager with direct experience leading Security Product and/or Security Engineering teams. - Experience managing both Managers and Individual Contributors - Strong technical skills, architectural knowledge, problem solving, and experience setting strategic direction with cloud native infrastructure - Experience as a Software Engineer or Security Engineer and Manager building security products at scale. - A management style that is collaborative and supportive as a “player-coach” encouraging your team to continually optimise their processes and practices and improve quality and stability of their code base while also supporting growth and career progression - Set clear goals and objectives and offer deeply technical advice, setting your team up for success - Experience building teams, recruiting and being a partner to the Recruiting Team - Cross-functional work experience and collaborative problem solving Requirements - Experience as a Software Engineering Manager in an Information Security or Infrastructure ...
