SUMMARY We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of our product and business telemetry ecosystem. This is a high-impact role across the organization, requiring a strong technical foundation, a founder mindset, and the ability to act as an enabler for product and engineering teams. You will architect and evolve our end-to-end telemetry solutions from 0 to 1, ensure data quality and consistency at scale, and collaborate closely with engineering leadership and stakeholders to translate business needs into a clear, actionable data roadmap. You bring a strong analytical mindset and treat data not just as infrastructure to maintain, but as a tool to generate insights, answer hard questions, and guide product decisions. This role is ideal for someone who is autonomous, forward-looking, and excited about using modern data and AI-powered tooling to drive better decisions across the company. - Full-time - 100% remote - Location: Germany, Serbia or UK - This is a remote position, but we cannot hire anybody outside our main locations for this position. - Rasa cannot assist with work authorization (visa sponsorship) for candidates located in Serbia or UK. We can only assist candidates based in Germany. ABOUT THIS ROLE - Architect end-to-end solutions to gather product telemetry, including offline data collection. - Evolve and maintain our telemetry stack with a strong focus on cost efficiency and scalability. - Define and implement best practices for product telemetry tracking, including standards, tests, and data plans, with a focus on quality and consistency. - Own and manage our data stacks, ensuring they scale with product and organizational needs. - Build and maintain data pipelines that connect business metrics with product metrics to empower product teams. - Support engineering teams by investigating data consistency issues and debugging complex SQL queries. - Share knowledge and mentor engineers on data architecture, tooling, and best practices. - Collaborate closely with the Director of Engineering to establish the data roadmap and translate stakeholder needs into clear action items. - Our Data Stack: - Google Analytics on our web properties; Salesforce for business metrics; - Twilio’s Segment tracking in our products (python & typescript codebases); - Postgres data warehouse in AWS; - Metabase cloud; - AWS Lambdas; Please keep in mind that we are describing the background we imagine would best fit the role.
