We’re a team of 8 full-time engineers working in-person out of our own full-floor office in the heart of midtown NYC. The team spans experienced trading-systems builders, career startuppers, seasoned app developers, and more; we are all deeply motivated towards furthering this mission. ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you’ll work on the core infrastructure for a DEX (Decentralized Exchange): order matching, margin, funding, liquidation, and the interface between off-chain trading state and on-chain settlement. Decisions you make here directly shape the safety, performance, and scalability of the entire platform. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Strong backend / systems engineering background - Experience building exchange, or derivatives infrastructure - Deep understanding of: - Order books and matching engines - Margin, liquidation, and funding mechanics - Risk controls and pre-trade checks - Experience designing deterministic, event-driven systems - Comfortable reasoning about race conditions, failure modes, and correctness guarantees - Rust, C++, Typescript PREFERRED EXPERIENCE - Perpetual futures (CEX or DEX) - Crypto exchange or Perp DEX infrastructure - Experience integrating off-chain engines with blockchain settlement - Familiarity with oracle systems and mark-price logic
