The ideal candidate has a strong network of sources across the AI landscape and the ability to see around corners —
anticipating
trends,
identifying
emerging power

and delivering coverage that is both authoritative and accessible. This reporter should be equally comfortable explaining complex technologies and capturing the human stories behind them, translating a fast-moving and often opaque industry into compelling journalism for a broad audience.

You’ll
Support the Mission:
Break news on major developments in artificial intelligence, including product launches, corporate strategy, research
breakthroughs
and investment trends.
Develop and
maintain
deep sourcing across AI companies, research
institutions
and the venture capital ecosystem.
Produce ambitious
enterprise
and analysis that examine how AI is reshaping the technology industry, labor markets, creative
fields
and global competition.
Identify
emerging trends and
anticipate
where the industry is headed, delivering forward-looking coverage.
Explain complex technologies and concepts in accessible, engaging ways for a general-interest audience.
Report on the societal,
ethical
and economic implications of AI, including issues of power,
accountability
and impact.
Collaborate with colleagues across technology, business,
economics
and policy teams to produce comprehensive coverage.
Experiment with storytelling formats and approaches to make coverage as impactful and resonant as possible.
