This role will design and implement high leverage technical processes and systems.Our ideal candidate can lead initiatives in different domains and is fueled by a passion for tackling complex problems head-on. You have a combination of practical experience and a strong commitment to your personal growth and the growth of those around you. Whether you've honed your expertise designing web-scale systems at large companies, or scaling startups from 0 to 1, we want to hear your story. What you'll do:Design and implement Electronic Health Record (EHR) integrationsArchitect high volume systems that will support hundreds of thousands of patientsDevelop and evolve API integrations within the Axle Heath ecosystemCollaborate with and lead other engineers to build performant, scaleable, and secure systemsMentor junior engineers to further their career trajectoriesWrite documentation to scale team knowledge within and without the interoperability teamRequired skills and experience:Bachelor's degree5-7+ years of software engineering experienceStrong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholdersProven ability to conduct effective code reviewsExpertise building backend systems in Node + TypeScript (1-2 years)Hands on experience working with SQL databasesExperience working in fast paced, high growth startup environments with a desire to buildDemonstrated ability to self-learn and quickly adapt to new technologiesNice to have:Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and/or healthcare interoperability (FHIR / HL7)Working knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and build systemsTrack record of mentoring junior engineersTools You May UseExpressJS + TypeScriptGraphQL + React + React NativePostgresSQLAWSDatadogGit / Github / GraphiteDjango + Python3What We OfferIn addition to offering a competitive salary and equity, we want to ensure every team member has the tools they need to work to the best of their ability.
