Position Overview The Patient Care Specialist is responsible for coordinating and scheduling podiatry appointments while supporting patients throughout their care journey. As the primary point of contact, this role ensures a smooth, efficient, and compassionate experience for every patient. Available Full‑Time or Part‑Time. Key Responsibilities Schedule and manage podiatry appointments via phone, email, text, and online platforms. Confirm, reschedule, and follow up on patient visits. Provide clear information about services, requirements, and clinic policies. Maintain accurate patient records within EMR/CRM systems. Serve as a liaison between patients and clinics, addressing questions and concerns. Escalate clinical or administrative issues when necessary. Contribute to reducing no-shows and support patient retention goals. Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times. Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma required; studies in healthcare or administration preferred. Experience in medical scheduling, patient support, or healthcare call centers is a plus. Strong communication skills with a patient-focused mindset. Ability to manage high call volumes and multitask effectively. Organized, empathetic, and detail-oriented.
