Responsibilities Lead the development of scalable product features on the Poshmark platform for content and commerce. Serve as a partner to platform security and content integrity teams, to execute on any initiatives to support platform for features related to payments, shipping and content. Identify areas of opportunity from a technical perspective for improvements to the platform and lead the areas in moving towards a micro services architecture. Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams, product managers, data analysts, data scientists and data engineers to drive projects from conception to release Mentor and lead other team members 6-Month Accomplishments Become familiar with Poshmark’s code and infrastructure in one of the areas of payments, commerce or content area. Work with product managers to technically vet new features that they have proposed for feasibility and scoping. 12+ Month Accomplishments Establish yourself as an expert in one of more areas of Poshmark platform and as a technical lead on the Platform team. Develop full expertise across the cloud platform and data systems Proactively identify areas of opportunity and bring in support from Product Managers and Data team to make them a reality Desired Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience building products in a high scale environment Experience mentoring other engineers Experience building user trust models and anti-spam product enhancements is a plus Understanding of web technologies and cross-platform tracking is a plus Technologies We Use Ruby, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, Redshift, and more
