Why This Role Matters
Washington Post Live is looking for a Senior Editorial Producer with excellent news judgment to produce events. We are seeking a proven go-getter with an extensive rolodex to book news speakers, experience crafting the editorial and a drive to produce events with distinctiveness and excellence. You must be detail-oriented, collaborative and able to work under pressure seeing through projects from start to finish. Reporting to the executive producer, this position is crucial for the editorial execution of premium experiences.

How You'll Support the Mission
Research and produce editorial and visual content of segments.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key principals, PR teams, policymakers for participation in a variety of events intersecting with the news
Curate and produce off-stage experiences, serving as editorial bridge between news and production teams
Help reimagine how we bring events and video together in today’s fast-moving information ecosystem
Work with social media team on strategies for distribution of segments and internal amplification
Ensure journalistic and legal standards are consistently met
Periodically travel for events
Skills and Experience You Bring
7-10 years’ experience in a professional newsroom
Strong research, writing, production skills
Knowledge and passion for current events, politics, and stories shaping the global conversation
Ability to work well under pressure and an extended schedule as timelines require
Rigorous attention to detail and deadlines
Interest in the changing information ecosystem and fresh ways of creating and sharing content

The salary range for this position is:
$97,400 - $162,300 Annual
