We’re looking for a strong and trusted Senior Software Engineer who operates independently and takes full ownership of technical components and initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a strong sense of responsibility, collaboration, and mentorship. You will play a key role in delivering complex projects, shaping technical direction within your domain, and raising the bar for engineering quality across the team. What will you be doing? - Take full ownership of significant components or services, driving them from design to production with minimal direction. - Be a go-to expert in one area of the codebase while maintaining awareness of system-wide architecture. - Apply technical expertise and domain knowledge to solve complex problems requiring creativity and sound engineering judgment. - Plan and execute major assignments or multiple concurrent projects, balancing pace, quality, and long-term maintainability. - Serve as a technical contact on cross-functional projects, coordinating with product, design, and other teams. - Mentor and uplift the team through code reviews, documentation, guidance, and technical leadership on project delivery. - Make others better by offering thoughtful technical feedback, contributing to standards, and championing best practices. What skills & experience do you need? - Advanced expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript, with strong experience building scalable backend services using Node.js. - Strong proficiency with frontend frameworks such as React and modern web development patterns. - Experience with scalable cloud infrastructure and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS), CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs, modern database systems (SQL or NoSQL), and distributed system challenges. - Ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and speed of delivery. - Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional partners. - Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide others technically. - Experience with GraphQL, API integrations, feature flagging systems, or server-side rendering frameworks.
