Fam is India's first payments app for everyone above 11. FamApp helps make online and offline payments through UPI and FamCard. We are on a mission to raise a new, financially aware generation, and drive 250 million+ youngest users in India to kickstart their financial journey super early in their life.Founded in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni, Fam is backed by some of the most respected investors around the world like Elevation Capital, Y-Combinator, Peak XV (Sequoia Capital) India, Venture Highway, Global Founder’s Capital and the likes of Kunal Shah, Amrish Rao as angel investors.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Head of Business Development to build and scale Fam’s partnerships and alliances engine.
This is a 1→10 role — you’ll define the strategy, close high-impact partnerships, and turn them into meaningful growth, engagement, and revenue.
This role sits at the intersection of growth, product, and brand.
Must-haves
8–12+ years in business development / partnerships / alliances
Experience in consumer internet, fintech, gaming, edtech, or D2C brands
Proven track record of building 0→1 partnerships and scaling them
Strong strategic thinking and deal-making ability
Should have AI native mindset
Ability to connect product, growth, and brand
Strong existing network across brands
Excellent stakeholder management (internal + external)
Data-driven approach to evaluating partnerships
Strong negotiation and storytelling skills
Builder mindset — thrives in ambiguity
High ownership and bias for action
Deep understanding of younger audiences and their behavior
Ability to distinguish signal vs noise in partnerships
