The Role As our Lead Artist , you will define and build the visual and interactive experience of a new cloud-native game inspired by simple, widely understood social play patterns. This is a hands-on role where you will work directly in Unity to craft a tactile, fast-paced, and highly readable experience. You will partner closely with Game Design and the Studio Art Director to shape how the game feels in motion, balancing playful, physics-driven interactions with strong visual clarity. Your goal is to establish a cohesive visual direction and deliver it through real-time implementation, setting the quality bar for the project from the ground up. Key Responsibilities: Visual Direction: You will define and execute a clear visual style that supports a tactile, responsive, and readable player experience. You will ensure consistency across all in-game elements and interactions. Hands-on Development: You will build and implement visuals directly in Unity (URP), including lighting, materials, shaders, and scene composition. You will create Shader Graph solutions that enhance both look and gameplay clarity. Motion & Interaction: You will design and refine animations and motion systems that feel snappy, physical, and responsive. You will establish a motion language that supports fast-paced, multi-element interactions without sacrificing readability. Cross-Discipline Collaboration : You will work in close partnership with Game Design and Engineering to ensure visuals reinforce gameplay feedback and perform well in a cloud-streamed environment. Iteration & Ownership: You will rapidly prototype, test, and improve visual features, taking full ownership of quality and execution in a small, fast-moving team. Skills and experience: Unity Expertise: You have strong, hands-on experience with Unity across shipped titles, including scene setup, lighting, and optimization for real-time environments. Shader & Technical Skills: You are highly proficient with Shader Graph and material creation, with a strong understanding of how visuals support interaction and clarity. Animation & Motion: You have experience creating responsive, high-quality animations and understand timing, weight, and motion principles in interactive contexts. Visual Fundamentals: You have a strong grasp of color, composition, and visual hierarchy, and know how to maintain clarity during high-energy gameplay. Collaboration: You communicate effectively across disciplines and are comfortable working in tight iteration loops with design and engineering.
