Mission Deployment Manager

In this role, you will navigate evolving priorities, incomplete information, and shifting operational needs, turning ambiguity into clarity. Working closely with the Mission Deployment Lead , you will help define mission-critical problems, identify innovative solutions, and ensure that our customers in defence and public safety achieve their strategic objectives. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy on assigned tasks, proactively tackling challenges, developing resilient solutions, and fostering seamless communication across teams. You will support the design and implementation of mission-focused software deployments, working with stakeholders from the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg), the Bundeswehr, and trusted industry partners to strengthen Germany’s national and European security posture. Your mission : Get Auterion’s advanced software into the hands of real-world users. You will identify Bundeswehr units or federal agencies facing challenges our technology can solve, and then support the deployment of our solutions in support of their operational goals. Responsibilities and Duties Engage with operational units, government stakeholders (e.g., BAAINBW, BMI, BSI), and defence industry partners to build relationships and navigate regulatory frameworks. Focus on European and NATO stakeholders, participating in various technical challenges, dialogues, and strategic forums. Take end-to-end responsibility for smaller projects and workstreams with business partners to ensure professional delivery. Lead demonstrations of Auterion's products to military and government customers to communicate technological value during field tests and product deployments. Assist customers in navigating complex procurement, contracting, and budgetary processes to initiate pilot projects or broader deployments. Ensure visibility of successes across the BMVg and Bundeswehr command structures to help evolve pilots into long-term programmes. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, security, and design teams to build robust, secure, and user-focused solutions. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, or Engineering Management. 3+ years of experience in business development, project management, or a related role. You have first-hand experience in the German defence or public security environment-whether from Bundeswehr service, government contracting, or relevant industry roles. A true team player, ready to step into multiple roles to ensure customer and company success You're comfortable translating complex technologies into user value, and guiding senior stakeholders through evaluation and implementation. You take ownership, move with urgency, and thrive in uncertain or ambiguous situations. A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving in ambiguous situations, with a focus on ensuring customer and company success. Familiarity with business productivity tools (e.g., CRM systems, Excel, PowerPoint) to assist in coordinating cross-functional workflows between engineering and sales teams. Fluency in German and English is required; existing German security clearance strongly preferred, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
