Our Zurich-based core engineering team develops the technologies that form the foundation of current and future drone products.
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be a member of our interdisciplinary hardware engineering team, driving the design and development of cutting-edge electronics for our next-generation drone platforms. You’ll take ownership of electronic modules such as flight controllers, sensors, and vision systems, leading PCB development from concept to mass production. In close collaboration with the team, you will develop solutions that enable visual navigation, AI-powered 3D mapping, autonomous cargo delivery and swarm coordination.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design, prototype, and validate advanced avionics PCBs, sensors, and electronic modules for drone platforms, driving concepts from initial ideation through detailed design and manufacturing readiness
Plan and execute comprehensive PCB and product verification activities, including test strategy definition, execution, and documentation; perform electrical and mechanical validation such as EMI/EMC compliance testing, thermal cycling, mechanical shock testing, and HALT analysis
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design concepts, schematics and CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and repair manuals
Collaborate closely with test engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure smooth transition of hardware designs from development to volume production
Work with customer success teams to define hardware requirements, align system architecture and interfaces, and incorporate feedback from field deployments into design improvements
Coach and mentor junior engineers, contributing to technical excellence and best-practice development within the team
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
5+ years of experience in PCB design and electronic product development, including prototyping, layout, and driving products from concept through production
Proven expertise in high-density, high-speed, and mixed-signal PCB design, with strong understanding of signal integrity, impedance control and power integrity
Hands-on experience with PCB verification and testing processes, covering signal integrity analysis and EMC troubleshooting
Proficiency with Altium Designer is highly desirable
Experience with image sensors and camera module design is a strong advantage
Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to address technical challenges independently
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
