Yext is seeking a Senior International Accountant to join its growing and dynamic International Accounting team. This is a hands-on position with a mix of accounting and operational duties. This role will primarily focus on payroll accounting, statutory accounting, financial statement preparation, assisting in the day-to-day transaction processing and accounting, preparing account reconciliations in connection with the close process, and performing financial analysis on an as-needed basis. This role reports directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager based in India. What You'll Do Maintain statutory accounting, filings, and reporting in compliance with Local GAAP and regulatory requirements. Perform local GAAP vs. US GAAP reconciliations for multiple entities, ensuring proper alignment and reporting. Prepare financial statements (FS) in accordance with local regulations and company policies. Preparing pay register to GL reconciliation, preparing and posting payroll JE for US and all international entities. Participate in various accounting functions, including preparing reconciliations and roll-forwards, performing account analysis, monthly flux analysis and processing month-end journal entries for a variety of general ledger accounts. Support and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Work with independent auditors to provide support for audited financial statements. Manage, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger. Support leadership in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned. What You'll Have Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional designation 4+ years of progressive accounting, reporting and finance experience. Working understanding of GAAP, IFRS and IGAAP. Proficient in managing and analyzing large-scale data. Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues. Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment. Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines Excellent written and formal presentation skills. Proficient in the Microsoft Office and G Suite, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, G-Sheet and Google doc. Willingness to work European shift (2 pm to 11 pm IST) and ability and willingness to work shift hours to support the U.S. team during critical close periods. Familiarity with NetSuite, Coupa, Blackline, and Tableau or equivalent systems is preferred.
