As a Ridgeline Software Engineer on our Core Accounting team, you’ll help build and evolve an industry-defining accounting platform with support for complex financial workflows, global market data, and high-scale processing needs. You’ll partner closely with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to deliver reliable, performant software that helps investment managers operate with greater accuracy and efficiency. Our team of engineers are building with cutting-edge technologies—like Claude Code and Cursor—in a fast-moving, creative, progressive work environment.
You’ll contribute across the software development lifecycle, from collaborating on system design to delivering production-ready features and improving platform reliability. Working closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional partners, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in financial systems while helping shape innovative solutions that modernize the investment management industry.

The impact you will make:
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native accounting services and platform capabilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality enterprise applications
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements discussions, implementation, testing, and deployment
Build reliable and maintainable backend systems that support complex accounting and investment workflows
Improve application performance, observability, and operational reliability
Develop automated tests and contribute to engineering best practices that support long-term platform quality
Partner with teammates to troubleshoot production issues and support highly available systems
Learn and apply AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows to improve development efficiency and software quality
Contribute ideas, feedback, and technical insights in team discussions and design reviews
Think creatively, own problems, seek pragmatic solutions, and communicate clearly along the way
Contribute to a collaborative environment rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency
What we look for:
5+ years of software engineering experience designing and delivering production applications
Experience developing applications in FinTech, accounting systems, market data platforms, or related domains
Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline
Experience building backend or cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and monitoring
Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable application design principles
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Willingness to learn about cutting-edge technologies while cultivating expertise in a business domain/problem space
An aptitude for problem solving
Ability to communicate effectively
Serious interest in having fun at work
Bonus:
Experience with Java or Kotlin
Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure
