Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>PRODUCTION MACHINIST (STARLINK) - 1ST SHIFT - LEVEL 4/5</strong></p> <p>As a CNC Production Machinist on the Ultra Precision Machining team, you will be responsible for manufacturing, developing, and continuously improving key technologies consisting of micron-level tolerance machined parts at production volumes. This is a unique and challenging opportunity to use world-class equipment, learn diamond turning, and work with some of the best and brightest in their fields. The scope of this team is to make the parts that other companies cannot and to continue to push the boundaries of what is possible to machine.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines, machining micron-level tolerance parts at production volumes</li> <li>Responsible for maintaining maximum machine uptime by troubleshooting off-nominal issues such as resolving alarms, repairing tooling, and actively maintaining best practices</li> <li>Responsible for troubleshooting</li> <li>Responsible for completing machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions</li> <li>Responsible for working with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>5+ years of experience with g-code, set up, operation and/or programming of CNC mills/lathes</li> <li>Experience working in production machining cells</li> <li>Experience machining parts</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of horizontal mill setup experience</li> <li>5+ years of vertical mill setup experience</li> <li>Experience using pallet systems and cells</li> <li>1+ years of CNC programming experience using NX</li> <li>Diamond turning experience</li> <li>Experience with micron level tolerance parts and how to handle/inspect them</li> <li>Experience working with aluminum and copper</li> </ul> <p><strong>​ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be available to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time; 1st shift (6:00 AM to 4:30 PM) </li> <li>Must be available for 10 hour shifts</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted</li> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min</li> <li>Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces</li> <li>Ability to work in an environment with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:</strong></p> <div>Pay range: </div> <div>Production Machinist/Level 4: $38.00 - $45.00/hour</div> <div>Production Machinist/Level 5: $43.00 - $52.00/hour </div> <p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.</p> <p>Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
