Product Designer II - Security

<p>Datadog is looking for a Product Designer II to join the Shared Capabilities team within our Security Platform. This team builds foundational features used across multiple security products, including the security inbox, bi-directional syncing with Datadog’s ticketing system, and automations.</p> <p>This role is highly cross-functional and cross-team by nature. You’ll work across multiple product teams to design shared capabilities that feel cohesive, scalable, and intuitive. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.</em></p> <p> </p> <h4><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Design shared, platform-level features that support multiple security teams and workflows across Datadog.</li> <li>Collaborate across multiple product teams, aligning on requirements while balancing diverse needs and priorities.</li> <li>Drive consistency and system-level thinking by defining, refining, and applying reusable security components and patterns.</li> <li>Own the end-to-end design process, from early exploration and wireframes to high-fidelity UI and final implementation.</li> <li>Partner closely with stakeholders (product, engineering, security, and platform teams) to shape direction, manage trade-offs, and build alignment.</li> <li>Champion UI quality and usability, ensuring designs are polished, accessible, and scalable.</li> <li>Contribute to and evolve design systems, especially as they relate to shared security patterns and components.</li> <li>Iterate based on feedback, usability testing, and real-world usage, continuously improving the experience.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Who you are:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>3+ years of product design experience, ideally on complex or enterprise products.</li> <li>Strong UI design skills, with an eye for detail, hierarchy, and consistency across surfaces.</li> <li>Systemic thinking — ability to zoom out, identify patterns, and design solutions that work across teams and products.</li> <li>Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, influence decisions, and navigate competing priorities.</li> <li>Experience working across multiple teams, especially in platform or shared-capability environments.</li> <li>Comfort owning ambiguous problem spaces and bringing clarity through design.</li> <li>Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma).</li> </ul> <p><em>Datadog values people from all walks of life.
