The team is heavily involved in utilizing computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data to give our war fighters and allies an advantage.</p> <h3 id="LeadHardwareEngineerWISP-ABOUTTHEJOB">ABOUT THE JOB</h3> <p>Anduril Imaging Hardware Lead Engineers are responsible for hardware architecture, development execution, and overall technical strategy for land, sea, air, and space EO/IR applications. In this role, you will lead trade studies to define EO/IR system architectures, lead the multidisciplinary detailed design, analysis, and integration and test of EO/IR prototypes and products. You will lead a small team of engineers from concept ideation through system definition and development. You will carry products in your portfolio through NPI into production, and have overall oversight in to hardware sustainment and evolutionary development activities. You will help shape internal and external investment priorities to grow the scope and impact of your product family.</p> <h4><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO:</strong></h4> <ul> <li data-uuid="fb6bb8cf-2fde-44a7-b2bb-4a72a982c73e">Own concept design and hardware architecture decisions for new engineering efforts</li> <li data-uuid="01c5753c-ce0c-4467-9781-fa31c509d3fe">Partner with Chief Engineers and product teams to align engineering execution with broader mission and capability goals.</li> <li data-uuid="2b1c482a-c806-4a5a-826d-ccd5f820d5e4">Lead engineering execution across hardware engineering disciplines. Use a deep engineering skillset across Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, and Firmware disciplines to create robust system architectures to solve mission needs.</li> <li data-uuid="96d51fb8-5b06-4c71-8093-cc30c01e72af">Drive products toward of NPI - lead initial builds, own clear to build, drive procedure and process generation, define V+V metrics</li> <li data-uuid="79b1d027-1345-448b-b5b9-d53812a7bd7d">Sustainment - Own the detailed continuous improvement roadmap and execution, oversee CRB activities, reactively deal with issues that impact the business, ensure timely and robust response to field issues</li> <li data-uuid="3fd56c32-8459-4212-a3e0-4c3e098e1f74">Prioritize all of the above both within and across products in a mission area</li> </ul> <h4><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></h4> <ul> <li data-uuid="a1352bc5-3dbc-43b1-9978-31cf6e3040f0">Degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optical engineering, systems engineering, math, or a hard science.</li> <li data-uuid="cf5d5c6c-f705-4ffa-ab20-1350211cb4a5">12+ years of experience working with developing and deploying electromechanical systems, performing any or all of: system design, architecture definition, performance modeling, requirements allocations, as well as laboratory and field testing.</li> <li data-uuid="76500424-af97-471f-a0b9-51c85b319d6c">Experience managing New Product Introduction and exposure to system sustainment at scale</li> <li data-uuid="24b42f7a-4eb9-4633-899e-b2f824b2342d">D ...
