<p class="p2">The Sand Table team at Anduril develops our revolutionary platform for visualizing future defense scenarios. We transform massive amounts of data into an intuitive, interactive 3D command center, serving as the visual interface for mission simulations, a key business development tool, and a powerful demonstration of our advanced capabilities to government and military leaders. We take ambitious ideas from concept to completion, building the core with high-performance C++ and enabling rapid feature expansion through modern scripting and plugin frameworks. The Sand Table team manages the complex logistics for delivering flawless augmented reality demonstrations in headset to critical stakeholders. As a cross-functional group of builders, strategists, and operators, we combine the creative energy of a top game studio with the rigorous discipline of national security to shape how the future of defense is visualized and understood.</p>
<h3>ABOUT THE ROLE</h3>
<p class="p2">As a UI/UX Software Engineer on the Sand Table team, you will be the critical technical bridge between design vision and functional reality, implementing next-generation user interfaces for wargaming and briefing capabilities in XR headsets. You will work closely with the UI Artists and Creative Director to transform visual designs into responsive, high-performance UI systems that enable our customers worldwide to interact with complex military simulations and briefing tools in immersive environments.</p>
<h4 class="p2">WHAT YOU'LL DO </h4>
<p>TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION DESIGN COLLABORATION</p>
<ul>
<li>Implement and optimize UI systems designed by the UI Artist team for XR environments, including HUDs, menus, data visualization, interactive elements, and real-time overlays</li>
<li>Partner with stakeholders to establish clear priorities and define expectations, which translate to a scope of work that you and the team can deliver</li>
<li>Write clean, maintainable, and extensible C++ code with attention to reusability and performance</li>
<li>Develop robust UI frameworks and component libraries that integrate seamlessly with an internal game engine</li>
<li>Analyze and optimize both memory and performance in UI systems that scale from high-end desktops to mobile AR systems</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with engineering and product leads to develop cohesive approaches to UI architecture for future XR programs</li>
<li>Provide technical feedback during the design phase to ensure feasibility and optimal performance</li>
<li>Implement UI animations, transitions, and interactive behaviors that enhance user experience</li>
<li>Bridge the gap between design documentation and engineering implementation, creating technical specifications as needed</li>

<p>CUSTOMER STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT</p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with business lines to scope UI/engineering deliverables</li>
<li>Support customer meetings and demonstrations, explaining technical capabilities and constraints</li>
<li>Work with military stakeholders to ensure UI implementations support successful mission outcomes from prototyping through production phases</li>
