As an AI Platform Engineer focused on Data Infrastructure, you'll be at the forefront of building the critical backbone—the Knowledge Graphs and Vector Databases—that transition machine learning ideas from concept to production in record time.</p> <p>Your work will directly shape the Roblox experience for millions of users, empowering a new era of AI-driven creativity, safety, and connection. The core focus of this role is to engineer and scale the foundational data infrastructure that grounds and empowers all of Roblox’s AI applications.</p> <h4><strong>Why This Role? </strong></h4> <ul> <li><strong>Unprecedented Scale:</strong> Your contributions will touch <strong>billions of users</strong> globally, driving innovation in gaming, learning, social connections, and creativity.</li> <li><strong>Pioneer Builder:</strong> You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling our core AI infrastructure from the ground up.</li> <li><strong>Cutting-Edge Technology:</strong> Work on complex, large-scale systems that push the boundaries of modern ML infrastructure, including Knowledge Graphs, Vector Search, and Agentic RAG systems.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>You will:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and operate Knowledge Graph systems for serving, ingesting data, and executing <strong>graph queries at massive scale</strong> for critical ML applications (e.g., recommendations, fraud detection, safety, and social proof).</li> <li>Own and significantly improve our <strong>Vector Database infrastructure</strong>, scaling it to support <strong>100B+ vector searches</strong> and ensuring high-performance, low-latency lookups.</li> <li>Build robust, highly available <strong>APIs and services</strong> to seamlessly integrate Knowledge Graphs and Vector DBs into new agentic and <strong>RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications.</strong></li> <li>Engineer large-scale, high-throughput data pipelines capable of ingesting billions of records daily and serving millions of queries per second to power state-of-the-art ML models.</li> <li>Research, evaluate, and pioneer the adoption of the latest advancements in VectorDB technology, Knowledge Graphs, and Ground Truth Data labeling practices to define new industry standards.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>You have:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional experience designing, building, and operating large-scale <strong>distributed systems</strong> and production-grade ML infrastructure.</li> <li>Proven expertise in AI platform features, with a specific focus on <strong>ML Data Infrastructure.</strong></li> <li>Deep understanding of the architectural challenges and solutions for highly performant <strong>Vector Databases</strong> (e.g., indexing, partitioning) and <strong>Knowledge Graphs</strong> ( ...
