Advocating for fair regulations is key, as it establishes a clear framework for Airbnb's continued growth and ensures continuous business expansion.</p> <p>This is a highly collaborative team that works in close partnership with Operations, Product, Policy and legal functions around the company. In addition, you will be part of a global team with members in the US and India. </p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>The Difference You Will Make:</strong></span></p> <p>As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will be responsible for building the tools and systems to scale regulatory launches worldwide with a focus on supply growth and retention. You will design and build product and platform features to achieve our goals. You will help define and maintain a culture of craftsmanship and excellence. You will represent the engineering team with global cross-functional partners across a variety of regulatory projects.</p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>A Typical Day: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with global cross-functional stakeholders for product alignment, requirements and shaping specifications</li> <li>Build our features and platforms for high-scale and reliability and employing engineering best practices</li> <li>Foster a culture of craftsmanship that emphasizes both the successful delivery of business initiatives and a commitment to quality</li> <li>Strategising and brainstorming opportunities along with Product, Partnerships other cross-functional leaders and driving effective relevant metrics to measure the success of these initiatives.</li> <li>Support 24x7 engineering ops to maintain high reliability services</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>Your Expertise:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>BS, MS or Ph.D. in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.</li> <li>7+​ years of relevant engineering work experience</li> <li>Strong coding abilities and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications.</li> <li>Proficiency in one or more JVM based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala, etc.) are preferred</li> <li>Familiar with frontend web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, React and Graphql etc)</li> <li>Experience architecting, building, and maintaining highly available services in a service-oriented architecture (SOA).</li> <li>Familiarity with patterns, libraries and frameworks for building and testing services, and service-to-service communication.</li> <li>Successfully partnering with Operations, Policy, Legal, and Product functions</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to structure complex, ambiguous problems, identify patterns, and propose data-driven solutions.
