Come join us for the ride!</p></div><h2><strong>Role Overview</strong></h2> <p>We are seeking a Marketing Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making across CarGurus Marketing initiatives. You'll take ownership of complex analytical projects, develop models and experimentation frameworks, and serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional teams, including our international markets. You'll work independently to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and translate technical findings into recommendations to improve marketing performance across brand, dealer, and international domains.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings 1-2 years of analytics experience, strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python, and a proven track record of independently handling projects while effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.</p> <h2><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Independently design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments, including sample sizing, metric selection, and mitigation of statistical biases</li> <li>Customise and deploy sophisticated attribution models, forecasting solutions, and predictive models using multivariate regression, time-series analysis, optimisation methodologies, and other advanced techniques</li> <li>Serve as primary analytics partner for marketing teams, providing strategic guidance and leading discussions with third-party vendors on analytical methodologies</li> <li>Support international marketing efforts by fielding technical questions and adapting analytical approaches for different markets</li> <li>Develop advanced SQL queries and manage DBT models powering Looker dashboards for senior leadership</li> <li>Collaborate with dealer teams to design and analyze marketing surveys to gather customer insights and inform strategy</li> <li>Monitor vendor data ingestion pipelines for quality and consistency</li> <li>Create sophisticated visualizations and data-driven narratives tailored to technical and non-technical audiences</li> <li>Partner with analytics leadership to propose innovative quantitative methodologies for emerging business challenges</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></h2> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field; 1-2 years of professional marketing analytics experience</li> <li>Advanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling</li> <li>Demonstrated experience independently designing and analyzing A/B tests with sophisticated experimental designs</li> <li>Solid understanding of statistics including probability theory, regression analysis, and common statistical pitfalls</li> <li>Experience building predictive models and forecasting solutions</li> <li>Proven abil ...
