<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Senior Tax Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Tax Compliance, and collaborate with various teams across the business, as well as with CarGurus’ tax advisors and audit firm. The individual should be a dedicated team member who is able to work independently, has an inquisitive nature, and possesses superior organizational/analytical skills.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Oversee federal, state, and international income tax compliance, including data collection, tax adjustment computation, estimated payment calculations, state apportionment analysis, return review, and return-to-provision calculations.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Manage tax project responsibilities related to indirect tax compliance, including data collection, return preparation/review, and responding to notices.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Drive ad hoc projects such as RD tax credit studies, transfer pricing reviews, and other emerging projects.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Manage all income and indirect global tax audits by reviewing audit notices and timely responding to document requests.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including data collection, tax adjustment calculations, deferred tax reconciliations, effective tax rate analysis, SOX control documentation, and tax memo updates for the accurate preparation of the company’s SEC disclosures and financial statement footnotes.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Leverage pre-existing broad technical knowledge and a strong finance background to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency, including extensive familiarity with tax provision and sales tax software solutions.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA/MST strongly preferred.</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">4+ years of corporate tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or a US-based public multinational corporation with strong expertise in US GAAP.</span></li>
