Technical Research Engineer

<div><br>The <strong>Technical Research Engineer </strong>at Rubrik, Inc. will be a key player in ensuring Rubrik’s products and solutions continue to be successful in the market. Your primary responsibility is to review and evaluate competitive solutions to provide precise, accurate, and timely information that is leveraged by our internal sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams. You will use the knowledge gained through your research and hands-on testing to develop compelling messaging, battle cards, presentations, and sales training.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div> <ul data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li>Perform ongoing competitive research and testing, with a focus on delivering accurate, timely, unbiased analysis as a subject matter expert.</li> <li>Create defensible analysis/proof points and positioning of Rubrik solutions favorably against the competition</li> <li>Collaborate with the sales enablement team to create sales training, tools (cheat sheets, whitepapers, presentations, etc.),</li> <li>Work with field enablement and field success teams to establish take-out approaches as part of standard sales plays.</li> <li>Responsible for the data analysis and feedback processes to provide a quarterly view of the competitive landscape.</li> <li>Provide day zero support to the field team for emerging product features and keeping the team abreast on equivalent features from competitive products</li> <li>Produce deep dive documentation on product features and solutions with comparison to competitive products for the various field teams</li> <li>Work with the product management and product marketing team to put together collaterals helpful for demand generation</li> </ul> <div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div> <ul data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li>8-12 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. Competitive Intelligence, Technical Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, or Sales Engineering experience)</li> <li>Experience implementing and managing data management/protection solutions such as Veeam Backup Recovery, DellEMC IDPA / DataProtect, Veritas NetBackup, and Commvault.</li> <li>Experience developing technical presentations, whitepapers, product guides, briefs etc.</li> <li>Good understanding of cloud computing architectures, products, and landscape ( AWS/ GCP/ Azure)</li> <li>Strong understanding of the real-world customer issues and the needs of data protection / data management</li> <li>Ability to collaborate with various groups and drive projects forward</li> <li>Strong aptitude for analyzing competitor's products, strategy, and messaging</li> <li>Aptitude for translating technical features into business value as a means of differentiating Rubrik offerings</li> <li>Executes with urgency (startup time)</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h2>Join Us in Securing the World's Data</h2> <p>Rubrik (RBRK), the Security and AI Operations Company, leads at the intersection of data protection, cyber resilience, and enterprise AI acceleration.
