This is a short-term placement within a rural setting, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive acute team environment.</p> <p data-start="685" data-end="995">The successful candidate will primarily manage a caseload within the acute hospital sector, with the potential to support community outpatients where required. This role is ideal for a confident and autonomous clinician with strong dysphagia experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced acute setting.</p> <p data-start="997" data-end="1096">Due to the rural location, access to a car is essential. Accommodation can be provided if required.</p> <hr data-start="1098" data-end="1101"> <h3 data-start="1103" data-end="1129">Key Responsibilities</h3> <p data-start="1131" data-end="1154">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1156" data-end="1738"> <li data-start="1156" data-end="1285"> <p data-start="1158" data-end="1285">Assess, diagnose, and manage adult patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders within an acute hospital setting.</p> </li> <li data-start="1286" data-end="1389"> <p data-start="1288" data-end="1389">Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and management, including complex swallowing presentations.</p> </li> <li data-start="1390" data-end="1468"> <p data-start="1392" data-end="1468">Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient needs.</p> </li> <li data-start="1469" data-end="1571"> <p data-start="1471" data-end="1571">Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support safe and effective patient care.</p> </li> <li data-start="1572" data-end="1664"> <p data-start="1574" data-end="1664">Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="1665" data-end="1738"> <p data-start="1667" data-end="1738">Contribute to discharge planning and onward referrals as appropriate.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1740" data-end="1743"> <h3 data-start="1745" data-end="1780">Qualifications and Experience</h3> <p data-start="1782" data-end="1828">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="1830" data-end="2233"> <li data-start="1830" data-end="1901"> <p data-start="1832" data-end="1901">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="1902" data-end="1924"> <p data-start="1904" data-end="1924">HCPC registration.</p> </li> <li data-start="1925" data-end="1983"> <p data-start="1927" data-end="1983">Band 6 level experience within an adult acute setting.</p> </li> <li data-start="1984" data-end="2048"> <p data-start="1986" data-end="2048">A minimum of two years’ experience managing adult dysphagia.</p> </li> <li data-start="2049" data-end="2109"> <p data-start="2051" data-end="2109">Dysphagia competency and relevant postgraduate training.</p> </li> <li data-start="2110" da ...
